Nicholas & Tomasevic, LLP is pleased to announce that the Southern District of California has now finally approved the hard-fought settlement reached with Flowers Foods to resolve the claims of the certified class of Distributors in the Ludlow v. Flowers Foods, et al. matter. The settlement entails about $135 million in gross payouts to all class members. In its final approval order, the Court noted the work of the “experienced class action trial attorneys” at N&T, who brought their “track record of success” to bear on this hotly contested case. Overall, the Court found that the settlement, negotiated on the doorstep of trial during what was sometimes “scorched earth” litigation, was fair, reasonable, and worthy of final approval.
