Class Notice Issued to 47,000 Members of Equity Residential Standard Late Fee Class

Nicholas & Tomasevic, along with co-counsel Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian & Ho and Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto, are court-appointed Class Counsel in Munguia-Brown v. Equity Residential, a certified class action challenging the late fee that landlord Equity Residential has charged to over 100,000 of its California tenants for their late payment of rent, from September 3, 2010 to the present.  Class notice has now been updated or re-issued to approximately 47,000 tenants of Equity Residential Properties in California who were charged a late fee of 5% of their outstanding balance or $50, whichever is greater.  You can read the Class Notice here: [English] and [Spanish/Español].
